Star Wars: Imperial Shadows is primarily set on the world of Lothal in the Outer Rim Territories. Recently liberated from direct Imperial control, the fight for Lothal has shifted back into the shadows. Many factions now vie for dominance, each with differing motivations and facing different challenges.

The Empire

Imperial Intelligence - Though the Empire no longer enjoys military and political authority over Lothal, it maintains a presence in the form of secretive and deadly Imperial agents (such as Imperial Intelligence operatives) assigned to the world. Their mission is to promote the Empire's interests while combating the Rebellion's local cells and agents. Since the Empire's official abandonment of Lothal, its activities have become shadowy and secretive, but no less dangerous.

The Lothal Coalition

A loose collection of Rebel Alliance-aligned groups and cells, the Lothal Coalition is the unofficial term given to Lothal's collective effort to resist Imperial domination.

Group Zerek - A small but effective group of Lothal freedom fighters, it's been whispered that Group Zerek benefits from links to the Rebel Alliance Intelligence Service (primarily in the form of supplies and the occasional provision of mutual aid).
