Star Wars: Imperial Shadows MUSH (IS MUSH) is a text-based online roleplaying game set in the Rebellion era of the Star Wars universe. For an introduction to MUSH games and how they are played, please refer to our "MUSH 101" guide.
Our story unfolds on Lothal, a planet in the Outer Rim Territories. The timeline commences in 0 BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin), immediately following the Empire's retreat from a now ecologically devastated and resource-depleted Lothal. Liberated by the Spectres, an early Rebel cell featured in the animated series Star Wars Rebels, Lothal navigates its uncertain future as a 'Free World.' Although no longer dominant, the Empire's influence continues to be felt, Imperial Shadows cast upon a world in fear of its return. Yet, peace remains elusive. Many pro-Imperial corporations persist, operating remote factories that continue to produce military hardware for the Empire. The underworld thrives, capitalizing on a planet that had grown reliant on its illicit services. Rebel cells and agents continue to counter the Empire's remnants, even as the Rebellion's attention remains focused on a much broader war. Amidst these turbulent forces, countless civilians endure the chaos, choose sides, and strive for survival.
